INAUGURATION OF STADIUM-PARK IN P.I.B COLONY

Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Dr. Muhammed Farooq Sattar inaugurated newly constructed cricket stadium and Hamid Badayuni Family park in P.I.B Colony on Saturday. City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal, Haq Parast MNA Abdul Rashid Godel, Gulshan Town Nazim Wasey Jalil, Naib Town Nazim Shoaib Akhtar were also present on this occasion. The town administration has completed these projects with a cost of Rs15million. Talking to media representatives on this occasion Dr. Farooq Sattar said that various problems on national level could be solved with the delegation of more powers to city and district government. He said that Karachi is the 12 biggest city of the world and the city is playing its role in developing national economy for which the citizens of Karachi deserve praise. He said that the provision of sports and recreational facilities to people was part of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement manifesto. As the captain of team City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal has performed excellent work.

New water supply line in Gulshan-e-Iqbal

Gulshan-e-Iqbal Town Nazim Muhammad Wasi Jalil inspected the installation of new water lines in town. New water line for the residents of UC-I; i.e. from Meeran Shah Road to Amer Khusro Road, Gulshan-e-Iqbal Town is being installed with an estimated cost of Rs3.70million. According to details town residents had been suffering from a great shortage of water due to broken water line. To cope over the problem town authorities Okayed the project of new water supply line.

Gulshan town presents surplus budget

Gulshan-e-Iqbal Town Nazim Muhammad Wasay Jalil has presented town’s surplus budget of Rs1166m for the year 2009-2010. The budget session was held at local hotel yesterday. Convener Council, Naib Town Nazim Shoaib Akhtar, TMO Shafiq Rehman, members’ council was also present. Town Nazim addressing on the occasion said that the budget was presented with the assistance and suggestion from Council’s committee. He said town administration would earn Rs450m from matching grant from Sindh Government, Rs470m from share of property tax from CDGK, Rs246m from own revenue generation of Gulshan Iqbal Town, etc. Town Nazim further said town has allocated Rs797m for the developments projects. He said for the solid waste Rs60m have been allocated, and for development for parks, playground and swimming pool Rs62.80m. Gulshan-e-Iqbal Town

Gulshane Iqbal Town is one of the towns in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. This town was named in honor of Pakistan's national poet Allama Muhammad Iqbal. Gulshan-e-Iqbal literally translates to 'Garden of Iqbal'. The town is bordered by Gadap Town to the north, the Faisal and Malir Cantonments to the east, Jamshed Town to the southwest, and Gulberg and Liaquatabad to the west.
